The lapwing (germ. Kiebitz) returns in spring – and with it an interesting word: to kiebitz.
To curiously look over one’s shoulder, to “get involved,” to think along – often ridiculed, rarely welcomed.

But: What if that’s precisely the quality we lack in collaboration?
Second opinions sometimes disrupt the flow – but they also prevent blind spots.
Diversity of perspectives means friction, but also clarity and innovation.
The lapwing sees many things from above. Perhaps it’s time to embrace such perspectives more often.
My opinion: Anyone who doesn’t allow a second opinion is flying blind.
