    Objectives

Reduce administrative and work pressure, ensure access to knowledge adapted to rural working conditions, create safe frameworks for preserving mental health, enable a balance between professional and family life, and increase the visibility and social recognition of the work of healthcare professionals in rural areas.

RURAL MEDICINE REALITY
Healthcare professionals in rural areas work under specific conditions. They cover large areas and are faced with an administration that does not reflect real conditions. Guidelines and technology are often inapplicable.

Professional growth is difficult, and despite communication challenges, they struggle to find a safe social framework for sharing concerns and emotions, which endangers their mental health.

They are also expected to act as social workers, counselors, and community authorities. Their families share the burden of limited opportunities.

RURAL MEDICINE FUTURE
The Wittenberg Statement 2025

The Wittenberg Statement is underpinned by the conviction that equitable healthcare cannot be achieved without recognizing the distinct needs, strengths, and contributions of rural communities. The following core insights, derived from cross-national dialogue among rural health professionals, researchers, and system thinkers, articulate a contemporary vision for reform.

RUMED 365 DURATION AND STRUCTURE
Bundle model

  • Monthly
  • Quarterly
  • Annual
  • Privileged mentoring

The program structure is based on the interactive use of sixteen aspects of second opinions, derived from the experience of moderators and mentors. These aspects take into account real situations and the needs of program participants.

Personalized support in group interactions is ensured by studying the needs of each participant and by layered preparation before each meeting, with guidance after the meeting.
The purpose of the program is to enable year-round, continuous monitoring of participants in their daily work and professional development.

The condition for year-round monitoring is participation in one of the following programs:
One-time, one-day, with a scope of 8 hours.
Quarterly, four-day, with a total of 28 hours, held every three months for 7 hours.
Year-round, twelve-day, with a total of 60 hours distributed evenly each month with 5 hours.

All programs and individual consultations are available in English, German and Croatian. For interactive groups a minimum of 6 participants is required.

Participants may apply for membership if they wish to take part as advisors of OpinioNet.

RUMED 365 IS AN OPERATIONAL AND STRATEGIC RESPONSE

Operational Response (OpinioNet)

– a digital infrastructure comprised of tools and processes that optimize everyday work with patients and their families.

Using it simplifies the transfer of professional topics and makes verified information available.

It enables active engagement and interaction and strengthens communication with patients’ families and their employers.

Structured communication with the local community (e.g., politicians) and highlighting the personal values and experiences of healthcare professionals raises the value of their professional and private lives.

OpinioNet is not a platform for treatment or substitution of treatment or other professional help. OpinoNet is a platform that encourages active user engagement, prevents burnout and loneliness, directs users to verified information and saves time and money.

Strategic Response (Opinion HUB)

– a business framework that strengthens the influence of healthcare professionals in the community and creates career perspectives.

It is a business center that provides authority and support, builds a sense of belonging, and simultaneously represents the needs and requirements of healthcare professionals to employers and politicians.

It is a business community that facilitates the international presentation of innovations and practices, as well as the transdisciplinary coordination of professional communication.

Opinion HUB is not an advisory institution, but a center for the exchange of opinions in relations that transcend the geographical and professional routines of the participants’ daily work.
RUMED 365 ARE CONVERSATIONS THAT CHANGE DECISIONS
We structure communication in a way that considers 16 aspects of the second opinion. This creates an exploratory environment in which in-depth discussions are possible. It enables diverse perspectives and a richer understanding of situations.

Through regular discussions and dialogues, experts and members connect as they work together on concrete situations and challenges.

Every day, we open up new perspectives that change the way decisions are viewed.
