Keywords:
Time optimisation; Reputation building; Career perspective; Global reach
Justification:
Rural health professionals often work under great responsibility, with limited time and in increasingly complex circumstances. Their expertise, experience and role within the community are not always sufficiently visible or recognised. RUMED 365 addresses this gap by proposing a year-round development model that strengthens expertise, visibility and global reach without requiring practitioners to leave their rural communities.
Objective:
The objective of the workshop is to present RUMED 365 as a model to be tested, discussed and refined with the EURIPA community. The workshop will explore how time optimisation, reputation building, career perspective and global reach can support rural practitioners in developing their professional profile and connecting local experience with a broader professional environment.
Organisation:
The workshop will start with a short presentation of the RUMED 365 concept and its three practical dimensions: time optimisation, reputation building and professional development beyond the local setting. This will be followed by a structured discussion with participants, focusing on the relevance, feasibility and possible limitations of the model in different rural contexts across Europe.
Participation:
Participants will be invited to contribute actively through questions, comments and practical examples from their own rural settings. Their feedback will be used to challenge the assumptions behind RUMED 365 and to identify what should be adapted before implementation in different countries, communities and professional environments.
Expected outcomes:
The expected outcome is a clearer understanding of whether RUMED 365 addresses relevant needs of rural health professionals and how the model should be refined. The workshop should provide practical feedback, critical questions and suggestions that can serve as a valuable corrective for the implementation of RUMED 365 and the further development of its communication infrastructure.
